Understanding the criteria for determining whether you have fibromyalgia revolves around two main areas. One of them is widespread pain and the other centers around the length of time you have been experiencing widespread pain.

If you have been suffering pain for at least three months or more then you need to seek medical confirmation and chances are that fibromyalgia could be part of your life.

Fibromyalgia is a debilitating syndrome which can completely compromise a sufferer’s quality of life. Fibromyalgia pain treatment can come in many different forms; in fact, in reality, it’s usually a combination of different treatments.

There is no cure for Fibromyalgia but continued research continues to throw up possibilities that a cure for Firbromyalgia may not be far away. Yes, we’re being optimistic and optimism funny enough, has been suggested as one of the methods a sufferer needs to maintain in staying on top of it.

In this article, we’ll bring you a variety of Fibromyalgia pain treatment methods and stress that each one on it’s own is not going to ease pain but when used as part of your daily routine, then relief is possible.

What Is Fibromyalgia?

Firstly, let’s take a look at what Fibromyalgia is. Well, it’s considered a syndrome simply because of the involvement of a group of signals and signs which occur together. It is not considered secondary to anything else and this is where people need to make the distinction.

Simply having localized pain in your tendons or muscles doesn’t mean you have Fibromyalgia. When pain is localized it can be secondary to ailments such as arthritis or over and underuse of the area in question. Generalized Fibromyalgia involves a group of pain signals that affect a person and occur at the same time.

i was diagnosed with Fibro 7 yrs ago, Thought that i had learned to live with the pain. Till 5 months ago it hit me so hard that i thought i was going to die!
All i could think was the Doctor is missing something, I could’nt move more than 10 foot at a time, the excruciating pain that came along with just trying to function enough to get washed, dressed or to the bathroom was crazy. After 4 months of putting me off my doctor finally sent me to a rhumatologist who re-diagnosed me with Fibro and connective tissue disease. She started me on lyrica what a godsend! It has helped so much, now if i could just get a doctor to replace both my arthric knees i would be in good shape. I havent started my physical therapy yet for fibromyalgia and can hardly wait till August to get started.
I didnt think to connect up with the internet to chat with others whom are in the same boat as me. (was still in denial). But im a believer now.
